One UI 8 beta is now live for Galaxy A55
Last month, Samsung announced that it would expand the One UI 8 Beta Program beyond the Galaxy S25 series, with the Galaxy A55 included in the list of eligible devices. Staying true to its commitment, the company has now rolled out the first One UI 8.0 beta update for the Galaxy A55.

The beta, based on Android 16, is currently available in India and is expected to reach other markets soon. Carrying firmware version A556EXXUAZYH6, the update weighs around 1.9GB and also integrates the September 2025 security patch, ensuring users not only get new features but also enhanced device security.
If you own a Galaxy A55 and live in India, you can now enroll in the One UI 8 Beta Program to test Samsung’s latest software. Keep in mind, though, that beta versions may contain critical bugs and performance issues, so it’s best to proceed with caution and avoid installing it on your primary device.
To join the program, download the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store and sign in using the Samsung Account linked to your phone. Once inside, tap on the One UI 8 Beta Program banner to register your device. After enrolling, head to Settings » Software update » Download and install, then tap Install now once the package is ready. Your Galaxy A55 will reboot, and you’ll be running the beta version of One UI 8.0 in just a few minutes.
