Samsung unveils Exynos 2600 as first 2nm mobile processor
Samsung has unveiled the Exynos 2600, claiming it as the
world’s first mobile processor built on a 2nm manufacturing process. Expected
to debut commercially in the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, the chip is
produced using Samsung’s advanced Gate-All-Around technology, which improves
power control and transistor efficiency. The Exynos 2600 features a new 10-core
CPU based on ARM v9.3, combining a high-speed prime core, performance-focused
mid cores, and efficiency cores to balance power and battery life. Samsung has
also introduced enhanced thermal management to help the chip sustain high
performance during demanding tasks like gaming, photography, and multitasking.

A major focus of the Exynos 2600 is on-device artificial
intelligence, powered by a redesigned neural processing unit optimized for
generative AI. Samsung claims up to 39% better CPU performance and a massive
113% improvement in generative AI workloads compared to its predecessor,
enabling faster, more capable AI features with lower latency and improved
privacy. If launched as planned with the Galaxy S26, the Exynos 2600 would give
Samsung a significant lead in next-generation mobile silicon, highlighting the
growing importance of efficiency, sustained performance, and AI-driven
experiences in future flagship smartphones.
