Samsung reveals new details about its Galaxy Glasses

Mobile World Congress 2026 has become a major stage for upcoming tech innovations, and this year Samsung shared new details about its highly anticipated Galaxy smart glasses. According to Samsung executive vice president Jay Kim, the upcoming Galaxy Glasses will feature a built-in camera positioned at eye level, allowing the device to capture what the user is seeing in real time. The glasses will connect directly to a smartphone, enabling artificial intelligence to analyze the visual data and provide helpful information to the user through their mobile device.

Samsung’s approach focuses on making the glasses a lightweight AI companion rather than a full display device. Kim hinted that the glasses may not include a built-in screen, explaining that users can rely on other Samsung devices like smartphones or smartwatches when they need a display. The new wearable will compete with products such as Ray‑Ban Meta Smart Glasses, which currently dominate the market. Meanwhile, Cristiano Amon expressed strong optimism about the future of smart glasses, noting that devices positioned close to our eyes, ears, and mouth can enable powerful AI-driven experiences. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Glasses sometime later this year.
